Arsene Wenger is set to make his first major move in the summer transfer window by signing former midfielder Mathieu Flamini.
The 29-year-old has been training for the last two weeks with the Gunners after being released by AC Milan at the end of last season
Flamini left Arsenal to join the Milan five years ago on a free transfer but looks set to make his return to north London.
According to the Daily Mail, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been impressed with the efforts of his former charge during training and will offer him a deal to add depth to his injury-ravaged squad.
Midfielders Mikel Arteta, Abou Diaby and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are all currently injured, prompting Wenger to admit he is looking to sign a midfielder in this window.
