Randy Moss thinks he could come out of retirement and score 15 or 16 touchdowns

Randy Moss never lacked confidence. And it's good to know that even in retirement, he still doesn't.
At last year's Super Bowl when he was with the San Francisco 49ers, the future Hall of Famer created a stir when he said he was the best receiver of all time.

He retired after that Super Bowl, but it wasn't because he felt he couldn't play anymore. The Fox Football Daily analyst told The Peter Schrager Podcast, also produced by Fox, that he could score 15 or 16 touchdowns if he was still playing.
"If I had to go out here and feed my family by getting back on that football field, I could still put up 15 or 16 touchdowns," Moss said. "I can still play the game. I don't know what a lot of people [saw] last year, but I know what it looked like. It looked like I was old and that they were trying to keep me fresh and things like that, but I can still play the game of football.
"€œI'€™m not going to play the game of football, but for me to be able to still go out and still catch touchdowns, I can still run. I can still catch. I still got vision. If I still got those things, if I still have the things that God blessed me with, then why can't I be able to go out there and put up 15 or 16 touchdowns? I can still do it. Age is just a number to me."
A little perspective here. Jimmy Graham leads the NFL with 15 receiving touchdowns. The great Calvin Johnson, in his prime, has 12 scores this season, and he's tied for second in the NFL behind Graham. In 2010 and 2012, Moss' last two seasons, he scored eight touchdowns in 32 games.
So, it's probably not accurate that Moss could roll out of bed and score a touchdown a game at age 36. But bless him for keeping us all entertained, even after he's not on the playing field anymore.
