NASACR - Carl Edwards’ Chase chances take a major hit with a wheel issue in the late laps

Carl Edwards entered Sunday's race at Dover as the driver on the forefront of the periphery of the championship battle. At in fourth place and 36 points back, he wasn't in the mix, but he wasn't eliminated.
Now, he's infinitely closer to the latter than the former.

Edwards stopped twice during the race's final caution flag and soon after the race went green and Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt Jr. were heading towards the lead, Edwards was heading towards the garage.
Now, thanks to Johnson's win and a fifth place finish by Kyle Busch and a seventh place finish by Matt Kenseth, Edwards is in 11th place, 65 points behind Kenseth.
Wheel issues doomed Kurt Busch's day as well. Busch was seventh in the standings entering Dover, but was forced to pit under green because of a loose wheel. Soon after that pit stop, the caution flag came out for debris and Busch was trapped multiple laps down. Busch finished 21st and is now 55 points back of Kenseth in 9th place.
